Thursday have announced a 2024 US tour celebrating their seminal 2003 album War All the Time, which will be played in its entirety each night.
Rival Schools and ex-Every Time I Die singer Keith Buckley’s new band Many Eyes are set to support the outing, which kicks off January 25th in Buffalo, New York, and runs through February 24th in New York City.
A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Tuesday (October 10th) at noon ET via Ticketmaster using the code VOCALS. General ticket sales begin Friday (October 13th) at 10 a.m. local time. Thursday shared the following message on Facebook:
“We played three very special shows to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of War All the Time in New Jersey last month. Two of them were on a ship and one was on land! Starland to be precise! People travelled from numerous states, cities and countries to join us and we were continually asked the same question – please come to (insert city name here) with War All The Time.
If we did it, we knew it had to be special so we thought back to 2001 when we toured with Rival Schools and then we thought back to 2012 when we toured with Keith Buckley and then we thought forward to 2024. From January 25th to February 24th, we will be going coast to coast with Rival Schools and Keith’s amazing new band #ManyEyes This tour is truly going to be a celebration of the past, present and what is to come.”
Thursday were coming off the most successful record of their career up to that point, 2001’s Full Collapse, when they dropped War All the Time in 2003 — the album title reflecting the global turmoil at the time. The LP cemented the New Jersey band’s place as forerunners of post-2000 emo/post-hardcore, and a steady flow of albums were released up until 2011’s No Devolución.
Meanwhile, the upcoming tour will mark the first chance for fans to catch Buckley’s newly announced band Many Eyes. Their debut single “Revelation” is set to drop Friday (October 13th) via Jamey Jasta’s label, Perseverance Media Group, and Jasta is also serving as executive producer of Many Eyes’ forthcoming debut album.
“Each member of Many Eyes may have a long history of touring behind them, but this upcoming run with Thursday and Rival Schools promises to be a first for all of us in every way,” Buckley said via a press release. “There is a new energy here and we hope that everyone who feels it carries it with them forever.”
