2023 Downtown Country Market
The Downtown Country Market (est. 1982) has officially opened. Today is the first Thursday of the Market’s 41st season. Every Thursday, throughout October, office workers, downtown residents, and visitors to the core of the city are invited to attend the market, which features a vast selection, ranging from tubs of strawberries to hanging flower baskets. Seasonal delights include beans, corn, cukes, watermelon, cherries, apples, pears, peppers, kettle corn, sauces, and even donuts.
This year, the organizer of the Downtown Country Market – Buffalo Place – is running the market from 10am through 2:30pm, which gives people plenty of time to shop for their favorite fruits and produce. Plus, since the market takes place on Thursdays, everything is perfectly fresh heading into the weekend.
The farmer vendors that appear each week at the Downtown Country Market come from within 30 miles of downtown Buffalo. That means that the pickings are as fresh as can be. It also means that shoppers are supporting the regional economy, while being kind to the planet. The closer to home that our food is sourced, the better.
Anyone interested in vending at the Downtown Country Market can email [email protected] for an application.
The market is held on Main Street, between Court and Church Streets.
