JC School Board to consider contracts, next year’s academic calendar
The Jefferson City School District Board of Education will consider contracts for the design and construction of a new building at Nichols Career Center and a ceiling replacement at Callaway Hills Elementary at its meeting today.
A contract with Versules Construction, Inc. is on the consent agenda for the board’s regular October meeting. It would cover the design and construction of a new building for the new cosmetology program and the building trades program, which currently rents space outside the school.
Also on the agenda is a contract with Imhoff Construction, Inc. for the replacement of the Callaway Hills ceiling.
The board will consider approval of an academic calendar for next school year. It lists Aug. 19 as the first day of school and May 15 as the last day of school for a total of 167 student days.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. Thursday at 204 Dix Road.
